Inland Temporary Homes
Inland Housing Solutions aims to end the cycle of homelessness for families in the Inland Empire. Over the last 30 years, IHS has provided shelter, transitional housing, and now rapid re-housing services to families experiencing a housing crisis. IHS’s flagship program, Infinite Horizons, helps families FIND, PAY, and STAY in their new home. We believe that having a home is the first and most necessary step in reaching stability and self-sufficiency.
Family homelessness often goes unseen but makes up one-third of the total homeless population, including families like Jason and Noelle. This couple and their young children became homeless when their rental was sold unexpectedly. Jason lost his job in the instability. The family ended up in their car until they could figure out the next step. With Infinite Horizons, they quickly found an affordable rental and took advantage of all support and tools available to them – move-in funds, rental assistance, weekly case management and counseling, life skills, transportation assistance, and more. Partner agencies helped furnish the home and hosted fun events for the kids. Both Jason and Noelle quickly obtained temporary jobs through a partner staffing agency and worked hard to earn offers of permanent full-time positions. The entire family thrived in their new community. IHS is proud to be a small part of this family’s story and the stories of all families served.
